Backstory

The year is 3235, the planet Mobius has been under the iron fisted rule of Doctor Robotnik for over a Decade following a devastating coup that left the Kingdom of Acorn in ruins, commanding a mix of Mobian Loyalists, Mechanical Warbots and various Destructive Weapons to subjugate anyone dares resist his rule. with the threat of the Roboticizer hanging over the heads of all that dare oppose the Doctor's Rule.

However there are various resistance groups lurking in the Forests, Jungles and Ruins that choose to defy the doctor, rise up against him and hopefully liberate their beloved Mobius from the Mechanical Madman before he turns it into a polluted hellscape. 

You play as Jonathan Crimson, a young squirrel part of the Knothole Resistance, one of many brave volunteers who decided to take up arms against the "Good Doctor" with the faint seemingly impossible hope of liberating your former homeland, and by extension the rest of your beloved Planet. 

Like the efforts of many of your fellow Freedom Fighters, your solo efforts wont single handedly take out the Doctor, get you closer to be able to even do any harm to him or be the Pivotal Event that turns the tide, and chances are that you might end up getting killed in your attempts at rebellion, but blasting a hole into his grand schemes and being a general nuisance will suffice.. you know what they say about the whole death thousand cuts thing.

Or you know, just throw a blue spiky pincushion going at the speed of mach "BLEEP" at it, that seemed to do the job.

Your Equipment

Your Arsenal is quite varied and allows for multiple ways to deal with foes, from conventional Automatic Rifles and Shotguns, to the more impactful RPG's and Scoped Rifles to the even more Exotic Energy based weapons.

You can be stealthy by using and acquiring Silenced Weapons, you could also be Devious by planting Booby Traps to eliminate your foes in a less direct way, or if all else fails you could bear your claws and slash your foes to ribbons until you are the only one still standing.

Most Parts of your Arsenal can also be upgraded or swapped out for various items if the right item is found to better suit your task at hand.

You're also Nano-Mechanically augmented, and as such can make use of it's power to enhance your melee abilities or empower parts of your arsenal at the cost of your Aug Energy, just make sure you don't over exert yourself or you'd risk inflicting Aug related burnout injuries.

What is in this mod?

You have the Main Mod "Crimson - Soldier of Knothole", which contains an assortment of 14-15 Upgradeable Weapons, said upgrades can give you entirely new weapons or improve the efficiency of the base weapon and 11 other weapons you can swap from pieces of your arsenal and upgrade as you see fit.

It is compatible with most conventional Doom Levels, though I cannot guarantee that it can run with everything.

You have the Enemy mod "Enemies of Mobius", which contains a rouges gallery of Mobian Collaborators, Assault Vehicles and Robots of varying sizes and lethality, just ready to turn you into Squirrel shaped smear on the pavement.. unlike Vanilla Doom's Roster, this collection of Anthro Soldiers and Robots will not die as easy.

(ENEMIES OF MOBIUS IS AN OPTIONAL MOD, YOU CAN PLAY "C-SOK" WITH MOST ENEMY MODS THOUGH I'VE NOT TESTED IT OUT WITH A LOT OF THEM)

And Finally, you have the Credits and Readme text document, it has listed pretty much all the sources of all the sprites, models and sounds used in this mod, along with some extra instructions in regards to keybinds, changelogs and general stuff one would put in such a document.

Install instructions

How to run this mod 


WARNING, YOU NEED AN OFFICIAL WAD DOOM 1 or DOOM 2
THIS ALSO REQUIRES GZDOOM, I'M ASSUMING YOU HAVE ALL THE STUFF LISTED HERE

Step 1 - Unpack the mods in a folder of your choosing
Step 2 - Open up a Mod Loader like ZDE or ZDL
 "Highly Recommended"

Step 3 - Place the Mods in this particular order

Level/Megawad (optional) -> the Main Mod -> any Enemy mod (Optional) -> Any Optional Addons

Step 4 - Enjoy

WARNING - A fair amount of graphical overhaul mods won't work with this mod or the enemy mod.. Try at your own risk.
The Enemy mod is also not a standalone mod, it requires the Main Mod to run correctly.
